His strategic oversight spans a pipeline of major hydropower projects with a collective capacity reaching hundreds of megawatts. Committed to building robust financial ecosystems, he is currently spearheading the establishment of new general and micro-insurance ventures aimed at closing critical security gaps for underserved populations across the country.

Mr. Mahendra Shrestha brings over 25 years of distinguished international investment banking and private equity experience to the Board. Throughout his career across Southeast Asia and Nepal, he has orchestrated over USD 2.5 billion in transactions and overseen distressed asset portfolios valued at more than USD 3.5 billion.

His extensive leadership background includes senior roles at premier global financial institutions such as Apollo Global Management (CAS Capital), Standard Chartered, Nomura Securities, Lehman Brothers, and American Appraisal. In Nepal, Mr. Shrestha has been a key driver in founding and scaling enterprises across the hydropower, investment, and strategic advisory sectors. He holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Lviv National Polytechnic University, Ukraine, and an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines.

Mr. Gobardhan Khadka Kshetri is a distinguished corporate leader with a multifaceted career spanning Nepal’s aviation, hospitality, and financial sectors. With decades of executive and governance experience, he has played a pivotal role in shaping prominent national enterprises. Notably, Mr. Khadka Kshetri served as both a senior executive and Board Director for Nepal Airlines Corporation, driving strategic management for the national flag carrier.

His extensive governance background includes high-level board tenures at Soaltee Hotel Limited and Nepal CRS Company Limited, where he championed robust institutional oversight and corporate development. Professionally agile, he also lends his industry insights as a Senior Consultant to Saurya Airlines Pvt. Ltd. Backed by a strong track record across diverse financial institutions and commercial businesses, Mr. Khadka Kshetri brings invaluable expertise in investment strategy, organizational restructuring, and macro-level corporate governance to the Board.

Mr. Buddha Lal Shrestha is an accomplished entrepreneur and corporate strategist with over twenty years of leadership experience across Nepal’s high-growth sectors. He has built a distinct career specializing in renewable energy development and advanced agricultural technology systems. Renowned for his commitment to institutional accountability and operational excellence, Mr. Shrestha brings a wealth of financial governance and project management expertise to the Board.

In the energy sector, Mr. Shrestha drives substantial infrastructure development as the Founder of Aviyan Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. (16.69 MW project currently under survey) and holds directorships at both Alampu Jalabidhyut Bikas Company Pvt. Ltd. (10 MW) and Bigu Hydro Venture Pvt. Ltd. (3.75 MW), both of which are actively under construction. Complementing his infrastructure portfolio, he is deeply embedded in modernizing Nepal’s agricultural landscape, serving as a Director for Agrivision Hi-tech Pvt. Ltd. and as the Financial Director for the Nepal Farmer’s Advisory Council Pvt. Ltd.

Mrs. Neemu Sherpa is an accomplished corporate executive with a proven track record of leadership across Nepal’s financial and investment landscapes. Renowned for her expertise in strategic oversight and organizational growth, she currently lends her governance insights as a Board Director for both Aviyan Laghubitta Sanstha Limited and Aviyan Investment Group of Nepal Limited.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Sherpa has occupied key senior leadership roles, consistently steering enterprises toward operational excellence and sustainable development. Her deep engagement with various financial institutions and commercial businesses highlights her strong capabilities in corporate governance, investor relations, risk management, and long-term strategic planning. Mr. Krishna Bahadur Chongbang is an accomplished enterprise specialist and community advocate with over two decades of dedicated experience in social development and grassroots economic transformation.
